readinput
As with most IRLP specific commands, this one requires that it be executed as user, "repeater." If you are logged in to your node as any other user, you must switch to user, "repeater" before utilizing it. The readinput command dumps realtime node operating status to the console. This is very handy when you want to see what the node is doing at a given moment. Since it is realtime feadback, you can use it in a variety of troubleshooting situations. Keep in mind that because it captures the console and dumps it's output to standard out (the console terminal) for visual feedback, you must exit the utility when finished otherwise you will have no way to input further commands. To exit the readinput utility, simply press CTRL-c and it will immediately exit and drop you back to the shell prompt for further input.
