You may have noticed my Website having a different appearance lately. Well, unfortunately some scumbag(s) had discovered and exploited a vulnerability in one of the 3rd-party components I was using on my site!

While there was no defacement to alert me of the breach, there was a lot going on, "behind the scenes" as they utilized my bandwidth and storage space.  I regularly check to make sure my site is operating normally and when I found a few things out of the ordinary, I investigated and found out what they were up to.  Anyway, as soon as I discovered what was going on, I promptly took my site down, backed up the database, reloaded the software, verified my database content and brought it all back online.  So even though the site looks somewhat generic, all the content is still available and my site should be fully functional again.  I will be *a lot* more careful when utilizing crappy 3rd party components from now on!  :-)
