Someday you may find that your IRLP Node is not functioning properly.  Once you have determined that the hardware is not the culprit, it's time to dig in to the software and operating system or OS.  Luckily there's a handy utility on all IRLP Nodes which facilitates the troubleshooting of software and OS issues.  To use it, simply follow these steps:

  1. Login to the node as user repeater.
  2. Type, "$SCRIPT/troubleshoot-irlp" and press enter.
  3. The utility will begin testing a variety of things such as network connection, checking configurations, file permissions, etc.  Once it completes, you will have a report of what problems (if any) were detected.
  4. Address any problem areas and re-run the utility until all issues have been worked out.  This will solve a vast majority of problems that you may encounter with an IRLP Node.
  5. If you are unable to fix the problems found by the utility, seek assistance from the IRLP Node Owners Group.
